Sally O'Connell Pezanko grew up on an island in Rhode Island.  She received her Bachelor's of Arts in history at Emmanuel College in 1970 and her Masters in History and Education from Eastern Connecticut State University.

She has taught all grades from 3rd to 8th in Connecticut, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina over the course of 33 years.  Sally married her husband, Larry, after he finished graduate school. They have two sons, Tim (27) and Luke (20).

Supporting the military is in Sally's blood as her Dad was a World War II pilot, her brother was a career Army officer who ended up as Assistant Secretary of Defense, and her nephews are in the Coast Guard, Marines, and Army, with 2 presently deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Sally has been a die-hard G2TT volunteer and supporter since 2004, back when we packed boxes in Andi's basement. Her hobbies are dogs, walking, politics, tutoring, reading, golf, and tennis. Supporting the troops is important to Sally because they are the ones who put their lives on the line so that America remains the land of the free.  There would be no freedom, no hobbies, no dreams, no America were it not for their vigilance.  Supporting them is something every American SHOULD do.  Their sacrifices should never be taken for granted and GTTT lets them know that their country honors and appreciates their service.
