"Pappy" is a United States Marine Corps veteran, having served during Desert Storm and served 2 deployments for Operation Iraqi Freedom in addition to other overseas deployments/assignments.

While deployed during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, Pappy and his units received many care packages from Give2TheTroops. They were in very remote areas (Combat Outposts) with few assets and no amenities or a PX.  The contents of the G2TT care packages he received were from his family, friends, and many Americans who he'd never met. Having experienced this, Pappy knows how much troops appreciate receiving care packages from home. Mail Call is always the highlight of the day. Ahe still cherishes the letters he received from the patriotic children and strangers from all over the United States.

He has been with Give2TheTroops since its inception in 2002 and was one of the very first care package recopients.

Pappy is a quiet, reserved volunteer who loves supporting Give2TheTroops® and being with all the great volunteers. His input to the organization from his military experience and canine experience, coupled with his hard working ethic and friendly personality make him a great asset to G2TT.
