Laura Mousch
is a second generation American. Her parents were part of the Greatest Generation that ever lived and she is so grateful for that. Although she did not live through that era, she has been blessed with lessons from her parents. During WWI, her father's parents spoke German, which caused her father great persecution. This taught him prejudice was not the way to see people. And he passed this philosophy along to Laura.
During the Great Depression both of Laura's parents were blessed to live on a farm or have a family member who had a farm. This taught her parents to be thankful for the basics of life, and has taught Laua not to take even the food on her plate for granted.
During WWII, Laura's parents underwent food rations, black outs, and sacrifices made by all due to the unquenchable desire to liberate the people who the Germans and Japanese had overrun. From this, Laura learned the role of our great nation in this world of oppression, making her very patriotic.
Laura had relatives that served in WWII. Her husband served during Vietnam, and her son in Desert Storm. She knows the feeling of not knowing and how hard it is to be far from the people you love.
She cannot express in words how much emotion wells up in her when she thinks of our deployed troops and their families. She is so grateful for all they sacrifice. These troops protect our freedom here and bring freedom around the world, just as the generations have done before.
Laura and her husband, Greg, want their nine (9) grandchildren to understand all that has been and is being done for them is by these true American heroes. They pray that by their actions their grandchildren will understand the depth of the gratitude that is due to the troops.
Laura wishes to thank
Give2TheTroops® for providing them with a way to do that.
