Kathy Fuller is retired from IBM; living in Raleigh North Carolina, with a get-away spot near Grencille, in Chocowinity, NC. She is married to Ed and has four sons. Her 20-year-old son is now stationed with the Army Infantry Division in Korea. Kathy's Dad was a Marine in WWI, and her husband Ed was a linguist with the Army.

Kathy and Ed have a motorhome and when he retires they hope to spend more time on the road with each other and their pets. Kathy plans to have a Give2TheTroops® banner to display it at every campground stop!

As an "empty nester" Kathy found herself spending more and more weekdays in their get-away community. She decided she wanted to do some volunteering in Eastern NC. It was then that Kathy met Catherine, a spokeswoman for "United Through Reading" in a bookstore in Raleigh. The bookstore was sponsoring the program by selling children's books at a discount that are then donated to this program to help active duty personnel and their children stay connected during deployment through reading aloud on videotape. Catherine lives and works in Eastern NC and told Kathy about Give2TheTroops® in Greenville! The rest is history!

Kathy says G2TT is the most meaningful volunteer mission she has ever been involved in. She's meeting many sincerely patriotic people anxious to donate their time, items and money. And she established a route within her community where retail stores, service stations and take-out eateries are helping me spread the word by posting G2TT brochures and distributing our list of items needed in customer purchase bags.

She also types the customs forms for the post ofice on a typewriter, and does a beautiful job! (The post office really appreciates her work! )
