John Swanson retired from the Bloomfield, Connecticut Police Department 17 years ago. John started his own business as an accident Reconstructionist.  His son was in the Army for seven years and was relieved of his duties for injuries suffered in Iraq and Afghanistan.  John tries to maintain a low profile with Give2TheTroops®, putting boxes together for the volunteers and then sealing them to be sent out, and any other chores he sees as important for the packing parties. As a regular volunteer, he is a tremendous asset to our organization.  His only other passion besides Give2TheTroops is UConn Huskies women.  He has been married to Judy for 33 years.  They live in East Granby and Old Lyme.
