Susan Parent resides in Haddam, Connecticut with her husband Dennis and their two sons, Robert and Nolan. Robert is in the Army, 3RD Ranger Battalion, Fort Benning, Georgia. He recently returned from his first deployment to Iraq. Nolan graduated from The Motorcycle Mechanic Institute in Florida and worked in New Hampshire. Nolan is also in the U.S. Army and is deployed for OIF.

Susan earned a B.S. in Physical Education and an M.S. in Health Education from Southern Connecticut State University. She also has a degree from Central Connecticut State University in Early Childhood Education. Susan has taught for 30 years and has been employed as a Health and Physical Education teacher in Colchester, CT for 27 years.

She has coached youth soccer and Little League Baseball and is involved in after school youth programs. In her spare time, Susan enjoys golfing, hiking and working out in the gym. She spends most Saturdays volunteering at the Give2TheTroops® Headquarters packing boxes for the troops and working on administrative tasks for the organization.

Susan wants all men and women in uniform to know that they are appreciated, supported, and never forgotten. She is proud to have the opportunity to be selected to the Board of Directors for Give2TheTroops. Susan is very proud to call herself an American and sends her thanks to all those serving.
